In Dayton, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Ohio on weekdays. Dayton is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dayton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was excellent, service was great and loved the atmosphere. We had the Bavarian pretzels, fried pickles, meatball pizza, cheese pizza and the cookie Γ la mode.

Unfortunately, not like it used to be⦠Saturday night visit, sat at the bar, after sitting there for 5+ minutes another patron sheepishly reminds the bartender that she has a new customer. Two servers, about a dozen people in the place. Ordered a traditional whole cheesesteak. It was dry, very little meat or cheese, > 90% bread and chips. Took a few bites, enjoyed some nice chatter with a few locals, asked for the check.

My UD friends and I lived at Milano's over 30 years ago while attending UD. It may have moved locations but the vibe is still there. I met a UD friend for lunch while visiting the area...we had a blast reminiscing. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about history. Food was as excellent as always.

I frequent some restaurants because I enjoy the food. Others, itβs because of tradition. Then, there are those restaurants that combine the food I love with fond memories and one of them is Milanoβs, located on Brown Street near the University of Dayton. My first visit to Milanoβs was back in the 1980βs when I was a student at UD. The restaurant has changed since then, and for the better. It now features a larger size, more televisions, etc. My visit here a few weeks ago was my first one in more than a decade, and I liked what I saw and tasted. Milanoβs menu has its share of pub grub like appetizers, pizza, soups, salads, etc. but for me, Milanoβs will always be a place I visit for the subs. My usual go- to is their Cheesesteak sub, with its meaty, cheesy goodness, but the Italian is also quite good and one taste of it easily takes me back to my days as a University of Dayton student. Another reason to like Milanoβs, if youβre a beer lover, is the selection of beers from which to choose, local and otherwise. There are about two dozen beers on tap, and I had a good experience with the two brews I selected to drink with my sub, as both were fresh and delicious. Milanoβs is sports

We ordered food. It was good, but incomplete. We ordered cheesecake. It was not included in the delivery. I called milanos and was told they could not deliver the missing items. I was also told they could not reimburse us. Then the manager hung up on me. Weβve been supporting Milanos for over 40 years. That ends today. Good service is not their forte.
